Last weekend we were invited to shoot the music event held at Kurhaus, Scheveningen, The Hague. It was a new festival called 200 BY THE SEA FESTIVAL.Unfortunately I am not allowed to tell you who we are creating it for, but I am allowed to share some of the shots we took. ('We' refers to Ravian Numai who assisted me.)
Kurhaus & Music
Let's talk Kurhaus music history. The Kurhaus became the stage for chic gala dinners, opera, theatre and concerts after their opening in 1885. In 1964 The Rolling Stones played at Kurhaus concert hall and all hell broke loose. That's what Ravian told me during the shoot. The concert lasted less than a half an hour as kids went nuts, throwing chairs, rushing the band, moshing in the pit and stage diving. That was not the case last Sunday, at all. Haha.
Son Mieux opened the evening, followed by Splendid and Ronnie Flex, one of the most streamed artists on Spotify, closed off.
200 By The Sea Festival
15 stages where placed all over Scheveningen to celebrate 200 years of Scheveningen. The line up consisted of well-known artist in pop music, international acts, upcoming artists, and artists from Scheveningen, The Hague and surroundings. More on 200 By the Sea Festival: http://www.200bythesea.nl.
